George Kambosos Jr’s world title attempt against Teofimo Lopez will finally take place on November 27th at Hulu Theater in New York, exclusively live on DAZN.
After defeating former world champion, Lee Selby, last October, Kambosos Jr was installed as mandatory challenger for the IBF belt but several delays to the fight have prevented him from aiming to become Australia’s latest world champion.
Consistently frustrated over the last 12 months due to the multiple postponements of his bout with Lopez, Kambosos Jr remains focused on the task ahead.
Despite displaying several examples of confidence when discussing his imminent opponent, is Kambosos Jr a world class fighter or does he still have to prove that against Lopez?
"I don't want to just talk about [this fight] like it's just a one man show,” said Barak on the latest episode of The DAZN Boxing Show.
“One thing about Lopez is that he has showed us that he's special by beating Lomachenko and beating Commey with one punch. He showed us he is special."
“So Kambosos has hasn't yet shown us that yet. One thing he has shown us is that he's a good fighter, but also is that he is super confident and ready. So I don't want to act like this is just the Teofimo show. This is a good fight.”
Watch Teofimo Lopez discuss his reasons for wanting to fight Gervonta Davis.
