Dillian Whyte is the mandatory challenger for Tyson Fury's WBC title.

The mind games have begun for Tyson Fury who defends his WBC world heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte on April 23rd at Wembley Stadium.

Speaking to former two-weight world champion Carl Frampton, Fury recounted a sparring session he had with Whyte a number of years ago.

"I’ve sparred Dillian Whyte many, many times and every single time I’ve used him as a punching bag,” Fury said.

“There were times when he couldn’t defend himself. There were times where we had to stop the sparring.

"I don't like telling sparring stories, but people in the game know.

“They know about me. Well, me and Dillian Whyte sparred, and I bashed him about and dropped him on multiple occasions. Simple as that.”

Whyte failed to show up to the launch press conference for the heavyweight clash which led to the media event becoming a one-man show.
