Bad blood is brewing between two fighters at 140lbs.

Jack Catterall and Arnold Barboza Jr could be set to go head-to-head inside the ring, but negotiations are not running smoothly.

Catterall was last in action on May 25 when he got revenge against Josh Taylor in a long awaited rematch.

While there are calls for a trilogy fight between the two domestic rivals, Catterall is keen to push on and earn himself a world title shot.

One fighter which appears to be interested in facing Catterall is Barboza Jr, however, the American has not been impressed with the offer sent by Catterall and his promoter Eddie Hearn.

Barboza Jr took to social media to express his concerns and Catterall responded claiming that the American is asking for too much money to take part in the fight.

"By asking for quadruple the money you’ve ever earned, that’s called ducking mate," Catterall wrote on X.

"Everyone can see straight through you. And yes you are wbo number 1 undeservingly so either be sensible or just zip it and stop pretending you want fights."
