IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia only has one man in his sights for his next fight, WBA and WBO titleholder Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez.
Opetaia kicked off 2025 with a bang on Australia's Gold Coast after he knocked out David Nyika in the fourth round of their world title clash.
There are big plans being put in place for Opetaia who is one of boxing's most active operators, and speaking after his win, the Australian called out Ramirez for a fight later this year.
"Ramirez, I’m coming for the belts," Opetaia said live on DAZN.
"We’re coming for the rest of the belts; we’re coming for them."
A date in May has been rumoured for a meeting between Opetaia and Ramirez with the short turnaround being something which does not appear to faze the Australian.
"I’ve been waiting for this fight for a long time, I’ve been chasing these unification fights, I’m coming for my belts."
Ramirez claimed the WBO belt in November when he produced a dominant unanimous decision win against Britain's Chris Billam-Smith in Riyadh.
