Jake Paul could be in line for a title bout after the WBA president suggested the idea on social media.
Paul tasted victory again on Saturday night, brutally dispatching former UFC fighter Mike Perry in his eleventh outing in a boxing ring.
He has previously stated that he aspires to be a world champion in the sport, and now, WBA head honcho Gilberto Mendoza has floated the notion of Paul taking on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr with gold on the line.
The Mexican returned to the ring on the undercard to Paul's win and defeated Uriah Hall. Mendoza has now made a suggestion for the pair to meet in the future.
On his X account he posted: "I am not against a Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr for a championship."
The two fighters have been linked with a fight before with Chavez Jr revealing he turned down over $2 million. He also claimed he'd retire if he were to lose to the former YouTube star.
