A potential second fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor is not desirable for fight fans.
That’s the opinion of Jake Paul, who returns to the ring on August 6, live in some DAZN regions, as he faces Hasim Rahman Jr in the toughest test of his career at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
Despite securing a fight with Rahman Jr, Paul’s name has also been linked to Conor McGregor in recent times and contest with the UFC legend would mean big business for both men.
The Irish superstar is rumoured to be in talks to face Mayweather for a second time after their first meeting in 2017, won by Mayweather, but Paul insists his fight with McGregor would be a more marketable event.
“Me vs. Conor is a way bigger fight,” said Paul when speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show.
“Floyd is old, and we’ve already seen that product.
“We know it’s just a money play if they fight. Me vs. Conor is way more competitive, there’ll be way more s – t talked, way more entertaining, and it’s the one that everyone really wants.”
