The women's boxing champion was unimpressed by Saturday's action.

Claressa Shields claimed that Jake Paul was lucky to defeat Tyron Woodley on Saturday night because he had his eyes closed.

The 24-year-old YouTuber was up against the former UFC champion for the second time of his career, having won by decision in August.

However he left no room for doubt with a thunderous right hook in the sixth round in Florida, leaving Woodley face down on the canvas and left unconscious for some time before he was helped back to his feet.

It was a dramatic and violent ending for what had been a relatively muted occasion, that had drawn boos from the crowd.

Shields, a world champion in women’s boxer who claims to be the best ever in her sport, was nevertheless unimpressed.

The self-described GWOAT tweeted: “Man this mf so lucky!!!!!! Literally swung a right hand with his eyes closed”.

However, she later rowed back on those comments, saying: “Mannnn🗣🗣🗣 I need to see the replay! They looked closed to me! Sheesh”

Paul now has an unbeaten record of 5-0 following his win over Woodley, a late replacement for British light heavyweight Tommy Fury.
