Jake Paul hinted that he would be ready to fight Nate Diaz in a crossover boxing event.

The celebrity fighter and promoter is expected to take on Anderson Silva on October 29 after the collapse of his proposed fight with professional boxer Hassim Rahman Jr earlier this year.

Paul has only a few weeks to go until his bout with Silva, but on social media he suggested that he would be interested in fighting Diaz.

On Twitter, he wrote: “Breaking News: Nate Diaz is officially out of his UFC contract.”

He then posted a video as he looked to camera several times, saying: “Nate Diaz wants to go into the sport of boxing, I wonder who he should fight?”

Diaz fought on Saturday night in his last contracted UFC event, against Tony Ferguson. He has suggested he will still return to the Octagon but after victory said he was ready to take up another sport.

A fight with Paul would likely generate huge interest as Paul looks to step up the quality of opponent he faces as he continues to make his way in professional boxing.
