Jake Paul vs. Jorge Masvidal? UFC star declines 'chump change' $5 million offerDAZN
Is this a smoke screen or is there no way this comes to fruition?

During Saturday's post-fight press conference discussing his sixth-round knockout win over Tyron Woodley, Jake Paul said he needed a bit of a breather after competing four times in 13 months. Talk of a late spring or early summer return were discussed. However, Paul had a message for UFC president Dana White at the end of the presser. He rattled off several UFC names as potential future opponents, saying he wants to face Conor McGregor, welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, BMF titlist Jorge Masvidal, and Nate Diaz.

Masvidal was in attendance for Paul vs. Woodley 2 in support of the former UFC welterweight champ. When the knockout happened, Masvidal exited the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., and made a video stating he wouldn't come into the boxing world and instead dared Paul to come to the Octagon. On Tuesday, Paul appeared on his brother's podcast, "Impaulsive with Logan Paul," and laid down the gauntlet to Masvidal.

"I want to fight both of [Diaz and Masvidal], for sure. It would be the biggest money fight for either one of them, and Masvidal's like, 'I either fight the best people or I fight for money, and you're neither one of those. You ain't paying the right amount of money.'

"Masvidal, I got an offer for you right now. Five million guarantee, plus percentage of pay-per-views, so that's the most you would have ever made as a fighter. Ever. So now you can't say, 'I either fight the best people or I fight for money.' Five million dollar guarantee, plus pay-per-view. Let's make it happen. That's the most you would have ever have gotten paid. Period. Times triple.

"Daddy Dana [White] just has to let you out of your contract. You work for the UFC, you're a b—."

It's hard to imagine Masvidal wouldn't want to take on Paul, but there is the matter of his UFC contract, which prohibits fighters from competing in outside ventures without UFC consent. Regardless, it didn't take Masvidal long to respond to the 24-year-old and offered a challenge of his own.

Masvidal is coming off back-to-back losses to Usman, most recently via second-round knockout at UFC 261 in April. "Gamebred" had been set to battle Leon Edwards at UFC 269 but had to pull out due to undisclosed injury.
