Jake Paul is confident that he'll make short work of Mike Perry.
The men are set to square off in a boxing ring on Saturday, broadcast live worldwide on DAZN, and Paul believes he'll pose too much of a challenge for the former UFC fighter.
Perry will be competing in just his second professional boxing match when he meets Paul at the Amelie Arena, but the 32-year-old MMA and bare-knuckle fighter also took on Michael Seals in "Triller Triad Combat" in 2021, during which Perry and Seals boxed in a triangular ring.
Paul told combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani that the Seals fight gave him plenty of information to work with when preparing for Perry. It's through watching that fight that the "Problem Child" says he gained confidence in Saturday's bout being a quick one.
"He had a boxing match in a triangle that I gained a lot of knowledge from," Paul said at the pre-fight press conference on Thursday. "Lot of openings. It's gonna be a short night, Ariel."
Asked to expand on what he expects from Perry, Paul was dismissive of his opponent's skillset.
"The skills is what pay the bills," Paul said. "And he has no footwork, no head movement, no defense.
"He's a great offensive fighter and bare knuckle [fighter], but in terms of boxing, he's going to get picked apart very quickly, and it's going to be a short night.
"Like I said, my predictions are never wrong, so I stand on business every single time I manifested into reality.
"I, Jake Joseph Paul will knock out Mike Perry in less than two rounds. It's going to happen, put money on it."
