Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz: Paddy Pimblett reveals his hope for fightDAZN

Paddy Pimblett has dismissed Jake Paul’s chances of ever becoming a boxing world champion.

Paul had been undefeated and expressed hopes of becoming a world champion at some point in his career, but he suffered his first defeat to the first credible opponent he came up against - Tommy Fury.

He has now returned to crossover action and will fight Nate Diaz on August 5 live on DAZN PPV.

Fellow UFC fighter Pimblett endorsed Diaz and said he hoped for a heavy victory.

He told SLOTH BOXX: “I hope Diaz batters him.”

He then predicted that Paul would never achieve much in terms of professional boxing, but would keep putting on successful events.

He continued: “He’s still going to sell pay-per-views. It doesn’t matter how good he is, he’s still going to sell those pay-per-views and make money and that’s all that matters to him.

"He knows, he’ll never be a champion, never be a champion of the world, so he’ll earn as much money as he can. I think he’s smart, I’ve talked to him. But he wouldn’t know what a real fight was.”
