Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley: Did Woodley get a Jake Paul tattoo after their first fight? The story so far between the rematching rivals

Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley: Did Woodley get a Jake Paul tattoo after their first fight? The story so far between the rematching rivalsDAZN
DAZN News tried to put a 'finger' on it.

It was a humiliating punishment befitting of a YouTuber and retired mixed martial artist boxing eight rounds in a wild attraction — the loser must get the winner’s name tattooed on his body.

The question is did Tyron Woodley really get “I love Jake Paul” tatted on him in the aftermath of his split-decision loss to Jake Paul back in August? It was the gauntlet that Paul mandated to Woodley if he wanted to secure a rematch.

Well, yes. Everything points to Woodley making good on the embarrassing tattoo.

About a month after the fight, the former UFC star took to his Instagram account to show off the tattoo, which he got on his middle finger.

Rather clever, considering even in defeat he’s giving Paul the ‘f—k you.’ Not to mention, finger tattoos are known to fade — some even in a mere matter of a few months. So, it likely won't be permanent.

DAZN News left a message for renowned tattoo artist Katherine Flores aka Tatu Baby on Tuesday to learn the exact science about why finger tattoos fade, but the call wasn’t immediately returned. Tatu Baby was originally slated to ink Woodley, but the opportunity never presented itself.

Woodley went with another artist to honor the bet.

Upon doing so, Woodley was immediately challenged about the authenticity of the tattoo by fellow former UFC fighter Dan Hardy. But Woodley responded to him, too, attempting to silence any critics in the process as well.

Woodley, 39, even addressed the ink on Showtime’s All Access, building up to Saturday night’s rematch between Paul and him.

“I love Jake Paul … where can I get it at?” Woodley can be seen in the Showtime clip pondering.

“Right here,” as he raises up his middle finger of his left hand to the camera with a deep grin embedded on his face.

Woodley further explained how even though he fulfilled his end of the bargain that Paul spited him by signing on to fight Tyson Fury’s younger brother, Tommy Fury, instead.

“He’s not a man of his word by the way,” Woodley offered of his nemesis.

“I get the tattoo,” he continued. “I waited around all f—ing night. I didn’t hear nothing from him, his management team. I ain’t heard nothing from him.

“The first time I found out that we were not rematching was when they announced he was fighting Tommy. I’m like, (Paul’s) a b—h.”

But Woodley continued to train and stayed ready in case of a hiccup with the proposed Paul-Fury tilt Dec. 18. And that hiccup came in the form of Fury improbably pulling out of the bout.

Enter Woodley, who stepped in to save the card and immediately renew their rivalry. "I love Jake Paul' tattoo intact.

Perhaps the ink wager can be part of the rematch, too. It's only right and apt for Paul-Woodley II.

DAZN News will bring you all the live updates, results and highlights from Paul vs. Woodley II from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on Saturday night.
