The Matchroom promoter told the DAZN Boxing Show welcomed the YouTuber's involvement in talks over the proposed showdown.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn thinks that Jake Paul’s love for boxing is motivating him to help make the proposed Amanda Serrano vs. Katie Taylor fight.

Hearn has previously suggested that a bout could be on the cards to put the fight on at New York’s Madison Square Garden, and speaking on the DAZN Boxing Show he gave an update on Paul’s involvement.

“I had a call the other day with Jake Paul's manager who works on that team that is motivated to try and make the biggest fight in Women's boxing,” he began.

“Jake's a very smart young man. Very clever guy. I think he looks at it right now and goes, I could come in here. I could get a great payday for Amanda Serrano, which he obviously likes there and thinks that she deserves.

“And I could be responsible for making the biggest women's fight of all time, I could be a bit of a hero. I bet Jake Paul's falling in love with boxing. It's very easy to do.

“So he's got the bug and he's thinking to himself, wow, we could do Katie Taylor against Amanda Serrano, Madison Square Garden, the biggest female fighter of all time. I'd love him involved. A great partner to have pushing that show.

“The talks were great. Obviously, Amanda wants a lot of money. Katie wants a lot of money. Yes, we get these girls what they deserve. But that is the fight - Katie's always chasing legacy. And, you know, in her pro career that might be a most defining moment, and we're very motivated to make it happen.”
