Jared Anderson looked spectacular in overwhelming Andriy Rudenko toward a fifth-round TKO over the weekend.

And just as "The Real Big Baby" feels like he's on the cusp of heavyweight world championship glory, he believes that Jarron "Boots" Ennis might be in the same position in the welterweight division.

When asked by Brian Custer on the Last Stand podcast whether Ennis is ready for undisputed welterweight world champ Terence Crawford, Anderson didn't hesitate to offer a co-sign.

"For a fight, yes, just because I know where his skill level is at and it's about skill in there," said Anderson, who has trained alongside Ennis by Ennis' father Bozy Ennis in Philadelphia and has known Ennis since amateurs. "It's not always about who's the biggest puncher. Sometimes, it's about just having the skill and the ring generalship in there.

"So, I do think he's ready to step in there with the best of the best," he continued.

And Anderson thinks that time could be soon.

"It's just a matter of time of when they'll give him a shot."

Ennis is currently the IBF welterweight mandatory challenger, though Crawford has stressed that he'd like a chance to challenge for Jermell Charlo's undisputed crown at 154 pounds and even entertained moving up to fight Canelo Alvarez.
