Jared Anderson will reportedly now face Charles Martin in Toledo, Ohio on July 1 after visa issues forced original opponent, Zhan Kossobutskiy, to withdraw.
Anderson, identified as one of the brightest prospects at heavyweight, will be aiming to make a statement against the former IBF world champion whose only defeats have occurred against Anthony Joshua, Luis Ortiz, and Adam Kownacki.
Eager to impose himself on the heavyweight title picture once more, Martin will be fully aware of what this opportunity represents with Anderson possessing 14 stoppages from as many fights.
The Ohio native is being pushed quickly to the business end of the heavyweight division and victory over Martin could bring a title shot in the near future.
