Tony Bellew is backing Martin Bakole to cause a small upset when he faces Jared Anderson on August 3, live on DAZN.
Both heavyweights are fighting with a point to prove and the victor can take a huge step to securing a potential world title fight in 2025.
Anderson has been identified as the man to carry America's heavyweight boxing hopes following the recent downfall of Deontay Wilder, but Bakole is likely to be his biggest test so far.
The Congolese star is in excellent form and Bellew believes that he can make the most of this opportunity.
“This is a proper fight and the winner of this will deserve the chances that come his way,” said Bellew when speaking exclusively to DAZN.
“These two fighters have been speaking about making an impact at the top of the heavyweight division for a while and now they get to prove it.
“Anderson has plenty of skills and is very confident and he’s going to need all that as Bakole is a big, strong fighter who’ll just keep going.
“It’s a 50/50 for me and no result would surprise me, but I’m going to go with Bakole to do that little bit more and get a decision on the cards.”
