Jaron Ennis had just delivered a scintillating 10th-round knockout of Roiman Villa to improve to 31-0 on Saturday night, when he turned his attention to what's next.

“We got to wait for Errol Spence and 'Bud' to fight and you know, I want the winner of that fight," Ennis told Showtime's Jim Gray about awaiting the winner between the July 29 undisputed welterweight championship mega bout between Spence and Terence Crawford.

He added: “Spence-Crawford is a great fight, a 50-50 fight, may the best man win. And Jaron 'Boots' Ennis wants the winner of Errol Spence and Terence Crawford. Let’s make it happen."

Acknowledging the reported rematch clause in the Spence-Crawford fight contract, Ennis did rattle off some standing order ideas on how he could keep busy if the welterweight champs stay engaged with each other through 2023.

“I’ll take (Eimantas) Stanionis," Ennis said. "Vergil Ortiz fell out so I’ll take Stanionis in a heartbeat. I want to get into the ring one more time before the end of the year to make it three. Stanionis, Keith Thurman, (Yordenis) Ugas, Bud, Spence — all the top guys out there. Let’s make these fights happen.”

Ennis got a game challenge from a gritty Villa, before gathering enough intel to strategically dispose of him in the 10th round behind a riveting left hook-right uppercut combination.
