Controversial heavyweight Jarrell Miller made a winning return from his latest absence from boxing in Argentina.
Miller came into the fight against Ariel Bracamonte, a local fighter in Buenos Aires, weighing in at 341lbs.
The American has previously failed drugs tests twice before in the run-up to fights, and last fought three and a half years ago, but went the distance to maintain his unbeaten record with a unanimous judges’ decision.
Miller boasts 24 wins and a draw over 25 fights, but could not add to his 20 knockouts despite regularly landing heavy blows on his opponent, though Bracamonte was initially on the front foot before being worn down. The Argentine left with an 11-8 record.
The 33-year-old veteran was banned from competition but has sparred with professionals as he kept busy away from the limelight, and was able to secure a 97-92 score from every judge.
