For WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo, a fight with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez is the ultimate prize.
But while Canelo looks to become a two-time light heavyweight champion against Dmitry Bivol on May 7th, there's another Mexican which fans want to see Charlo face in the form of David Benavidez.
While the 31-year-old is interested in the fight, he believes there isn't much to gain if he beats Benavidez.
" I'll fight him for sure,” Charlo said on Mike Tyson's Hotboxin' podcast .
“I just think his value is low. He’s not worth as much as fighting someone like Canelo.
"I’d rather get one of the best in the world right now that got a belt."
If a fight with Canelo isn't on the table, Mike Tyson believes a fight with the so-called 'Mexican Monster' is the next logical choice for Charlo.
"He ain’t no Mexican monster,” Charlo stated.
“We box. We ain’t scared of nobody.”
