Jermell Charlo has hit out at Brian Castano after his rival reportedly dropped out of their undisputed clash.
Charlo has the WBA, WBC and IBF belts and Castano was going to put his WBO strap on the line for the junior middleweight division.
The fight was due for March 19th, but now must be put back by at least a month, and had already been put back from an originally planned date of February 26. Charlo has now grown tired of the delays.
Posting on his Instagram account, he wrote: “2X in a row they done tried to pull the same stunt. Naw I ain’t buying it.”
Charlo’s most recent fight came in July 2021 against Castano, with the match ruled a split decision draw, leaving the stage set for a rematch to settle the score between the two.
A new date has yet to be scheduled with all four governing bodies potentially intervening to order their own mandatories for both fighters as the delays drag on.
