Joe Joyce reveals his feelings regarding a potential Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois fightDAZN

Following the collapse of a potential Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk undisputed clash, Joe Joyce has expressed his desire to test himself against his division’s best fighters.

Joyce is currently the WBO interim champion which means he’s in an ideal position to face Usyk, but the Ukrainian also has other mandatories who would relish the chance to face him.

Joyce has climbed the heavyweight rankings impressively in recent years and he’s made several emphatic statements against a number of leaving contenders.

Last year, Joyce was in superb form as he became the first person to stop Joseph Parker, but he’s fully aware of how boxing works with Daniel Dubois, the WBA regular champion, also in the frame to challenge Usyk.

“It would be frustrating, but I wouldn’t be surprised, especially in this sport,” said Joyce when speaking to Metro regarding a title shot.

“I’ve been [WBO] interim for a while, that surely should mean something. I’m there, I have the interim belt. It could even mean the possibility of being elevated to world champion if I don’t get my shot soon, but we will see.”
