Johnny Fisher says 'there's a possibility for some carnage' in his heavyweight bout against Dave Allen

Johnny Fisher says 'there's a possibility for some carnage' in his heavyweight bout against Dave AllenMark Robinson Matchroom Boxing

Expect fireworks on Saturday night when Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen step into the ring.

The two British heavyweights will square off as part of the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2 card in Riyadh, broadcast live worldwide on DAZN PPV, and both are looking to make a big splash on a massive night of boxing.

Fisher and Allen are both known for their power, and they share history together as former sparring partners. They also each have powerful animal nicknames, with 25-year-old Fisher known as the "Romford Bull" while Allen, 32, is often referred to as the "White Rhino."

Their powerful personas have become something of a talking point ahead of their bout, and on Thursday Fisher addressed the prospect of a heavy-handed brawl breaking out between the combatants.

"There's a possibility for some carnage, that's for sure," Fisher said at the pre-fight press conference. "A rhinoceros and a bull in the same ring, it's gonna be fireworks and I'm not gonna take a backwards step, I'm sure he won't.

"I'm doing it for my family. I'm doing it to make everyone proud who comes and supports me, the people who are traveling over, but also the people who will be watching at home. I'm doing it for all of you and you give me strength every time I fight."

While both fighters have been known to end bouts early, with Fisher boasting 11 knockouts in 12 professional fights and Allen recording 18 KOs in 31 contests, Fisher said he won't necessarily be looking to cut Saturday's fight short.

For him, it's all about getting his hand raised.

"Winning is all that matters, victory at all costs," Fisher said. "It's an honour to be on such a big card, but I'm aware of what my job is. My job is to beat Dave Allen."
