Joseph Parker is confident that the ringside judges won’t be required when he meets Derek Chisora for a second time on December 18th, exclusively live on DAZN.
Back in May, the heavyweight pair fought a competitive contest that went the way of the New Zealander, a decision that irked Chisora.
Speaking at Tuesday's press conference, Chisora made multiple references regarding the officials in place for December’s rematch, but Parker is adamant they won’t be needed.
Aiming to secure another world title reign, Parker believes he can get rid of Chisora before the final bell and then move onto a bigger fight.
I’ve had a lot more time to work on things that Andy has suggested I work on and now that I’m here with him in camp my confidence is growing every day seeing the improvements,” said Parker when speaking to BoxingScene. “My goal is to become two-time world champion.”
“I’m well positioned at the moment with the rankings. It’s good to out three times this year and you’ve just got to take the opportunities when they come. I feel like I’ll finish this fight within the distance, I’ve got a good feeling.”
