Joseph Parker is currently an in-form fighter in the heavyweight division.
Following a dominant win over former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in December, Parker then beat Zhilei Zhang in early March despite being knocked down on two occasions.
It has since been revealed that Parker is contracted for a second fight against Zhang, but his promoter David Higgins has not ruled out the possibility of his fighter facing Joe Joyce in a rematch instead if the stars align.
"The contract is for the Zhang rematch but these things do vary if everyone agrees," Higgins told Sky Sports when asked about a second meeting with Joyce.
"If there was a better option then we would look at the better option as long as everybody agrees. Those discussions are to be had."
Parker and Joyce first went head-to-head in 2022 with Joyce managing to knock out the former WBO world heavyweight champion in the eleventh round.
