The undisputed super lightweight beat Jack Catterall in controversial circumstances last month.

The undisputed super lightweight champion Josh Taylor is interested in a rematch with Jack Catterall, but the Scotsman believes it can only happen at a catchweight and with no belts on the line.

Taylor beat Catterall via a split decision last month in Glasgow, despite many experts and analysts labelling Catterall as the clear winner.

The British Boxing Board of Control is now investigating the matter, but it's unlikely that the decision will be reversed.

It's likely that Taylor will now pursue some of the big names at welterweight which means a rematch for the undisputed title is improbable, however, the 31-year-old hasn't ruled out a second fight with Catterall altogether.

"Of course, I think he deserves it," Taylor told Sky Sports when asked whether Catterall deserves another world title shot.

"We'll see what happens down the line - we can have a fight again with Jack, why not. I'm certainly open to it, so we'll see what happens.

"Most likely at a catchweight. I can't make the weight anymore safely, I don't think. So we'll see how it goes, but I'm keen for a rematch."
