Jack Catteralk earns win over Josh Taylor in the rematch.

On Saturday, May 25, Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall stepped back into the ring for a rematch of their controversial fight in 2022. In their first outing, Taylor secured the victory via a split decision which many fans questioned. That didn't happen this time around.

After a close back and forth across 12 rounds, the judges awarded Catterall the win on all three scorecards.

"It's bittersweet tonight, no world titles. I can close that chapter with Josh Taylor," Catterall said after the fight.

"I took more risks this time."

Eddie Hearn and Bob Arum both voiced their displeasure over the scorecards with Hearn wondering why the scores were so wide and Arum calling them a disgrace.

"Those scorecards were a disgrace, I felt bad for Josh. I really thought he won that fight,” Arum said in the ring afterwards.

Perhaps a trilogy will be next, both fighters seemed open to it.

DAZN provided live commentary of the fight as it happened. See how it all went down below.
