Josh Warrington has picked his win over Lee Selby at Elland Road as his favourite-ever fight, with his clash against Carl Frampton a close second behind it.
The Leeds Warrior will continue his career next year despite leaving his gloves in the ring after his loss to Anthony Cacace at Riyadh Season Card - Wembley Edition.
It marked a fourth career defeat for the former IBF featherweight champion and a third straight loss, but the 34-year-old says he still has more to give at the highest level.
That has allowed him to look back and consider his favourite stint in the ring, with the star admitting his clash against then-world champion Selby remains a high point.
"It would have to be Elland Road," he said. "The fight with Carl Frampton in Manchester is a very close second, but it would have to be Elland Road.
"[It comes down to] how much was riding on it at the time. My wife had given birth to my twin daughters twelve weeks prior, so that was a bit of a stress going into that fight.
"But I felt like my career was riding on that fight, even though I was unbeaten, even though I was always climbing the ladder, even though I’d done everything the right way.
"That fight, everything was relying on that. Lee Selby was this god, and everybody thought he was going to box my ears off and that I had no chance against him.
"[They said] this was when I was going to get exposed as just a ticket-seller, who is only followed by casual football fans. But the occasion with Elland Road [was great].
"Becoming Leeds’s first male world champion, with Kaiser Chiefs being there and Lucas Radebe walking me to the ring. I was a 4/1 underdog and winning is right up there."
Warrington's win over Selby in 2018 earned him the IBF featherweight title for the first time and helped vault him to the top of the division for the next four years.
Meanwhile, the Leeds Warrior looks set to pursue another old foe for a 2025 fight, with talk he could have a rematch against Leigh Wood, who defeated him in 2023.
