Willy Hutchinson has identified who he wants next.
The light heavyweight has his eyes on a clash with Joshua Buatsi, the current WBO interim champion at 175lbs.
Buatsi has been linked with a fight against Anthony Yarde, and the division’s belts are currently tied up as we wait for Artur Beterbiev’s undisputed clash with Dmitry Bivol in October.
The WBO has ordered a Hutchinson vs. Buatsi fight for the interim belt, and speaking to Sky Sports, Hutchinson’s manager Shelly Finkel said his man was ready.
He said: "We would very much welcome a fight against Buatsi."
Buatsi’s promoter, Ben Shalom was non-committal.
"He's in a great position right now," he said. "He's worked hard to get to this position and he's got two potentially great fights ahead.
"Personally I think the Yarde fight is the one that fans want to see most and it's one that we've been trying to make for a long time. But obviously there's been difficulties making that fight and it's taken a bit of time.
"You've got the Hutchinson fight as well, given the order for the WBO interim. So great options.”
