Katie Taylor will vacate her lightweight titles as she has "no intention" to face mandatory challenger Caroline Dubois after her rematch with Amanda Serrano, claims Ben Shalom.
Two years on from her undisputed victory in the division over the Puerto Rican, the Irishwoman will face her rival again on the undercard of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson's bout.
In the intervening period, Taylor has stepped up to super-lightweight to also become undisputed champion, but currently still holds the WBC and IBF belts a division down.
Dubois, who is mandatory challenger for the former after defeating Maira Moneo, is unlikely to get a shot however, with Shalom suggesting that they will be relinquished shortly.
"Katie Taylor's holding two of the belts in her weight division that we believe there's absolutely no intention or no possibility that she'll ever go back to that weight," the BOXXER promoter told Sky Sports News.
"It's frustrating for the division and probably isn't the right thing for the division, but that's maybe a matter of politics holding that up.
"I expect after November 16, when Katie Taylor fights Serrano, it becomes clear that she will not be returning to the 135 division that both those belts become vacant.
"We'll see Caroline become world champion, fight for the WBC title and we've had assurances that that will be the case."
Shalom further suggested a possible fight with WBO lightweight champion Terri Harper could be in the pipeline for Dubois once the call has been made.
"We're about to announce a fight for Caroline," he added. "She will box, I believe, for a world title next.
"We hope that in February, March next year she can be boxing Terri Harper and we have put an offer in to Matchroom for that.
"I'm excited to see her back. We should be able to announce that date in the next week or so."
