Undisputed women's lightweight champion Katie Taylor is back in action on December 11 when she takes on Firuza Sharipova in Liverpool, England, exclusively live on DAZN.
Taylor vs. Sharipova is the co-main event for a stacked card at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, which is headlined by British welterweight star Conor Benn who takes on the former junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri.
Taylor's (19-0, 6 KOs) last fight was in September where she beat Jennifer Han via a unanimous decision in front of a raucous crowd in Leeds.
"I'm looking forward to ending the year on a high with another defence of my titles,” Taylor said in a press release. “I know there are some huge fights out there for me in 2022 but for now my sole focus is on December 11 and this mandatory defence against Sharipova."
Sharipova (14-1) competes in the Uk for the first time, fighting primarily in her native Russia. She is the mandatory challenger for Taylor's WBA belt and comes into this contest on the back of a 14-fight winning streak.
If Taylor gets past Sharipova on Merseyside, it looks like she will face Amanda Serrano in a super-fight at some point next year.
