There's just under two weeks until Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano make history on April 30 live across the world on DAZN.
Both women will go head-to-head for the undisputed women's lightweight title in front of what is set to be a capacity crowd at the iconic Madison Square Garden.
This main event has the potential to become a huge cultural event and one of those backing the historic significance is actress and boxing fan Rosie Perez.
Speaking about the fight on The DAZN Boxing Show, Perez belives Taylor vs. Serrano is a huge political and social event.
"I am very excited," Perez began.
"This was long overdue and kudos to DAZN, kudos to Jake Paul. This should have happened a long time ago, but I’m glad it’s happening now and with the equal rights amendment, equal pay for equal play, this is going to make a big statement.
"This fight is actually bigger than Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano. This fight is making a social and political statement and I am so happy I’m going to be there, I’m going to be part of a moment in history."
Perez who struggled to contain her excitement, then discussed the fight in detail and spoke about her visit to Serrano's camp.
"It’s going to be a really good fight," Perez said.
"Amanda Serrano, people say she’s older, so is Katie Taylor, they’ve both taken some licks with Persoon, and Amanda has had a couple of difficult fights too.
"It’s going to be very interesting to see what’s going to go down.
"I saw Amanda Serrano in training and she looks ready.
"I told her, ‘I’ve never seen you with this amount of mental fortitude, you’ve always been in shape, you’ve stayed in shape, you stay in the gym, but your mindset is different and you are scaring me in a good way.’
"The tricky thing is that Katie Taylor never shows her hand, in every single interview she is as cool as ice, it’s amazing.
"If Amanda goes in there and hits that body, and tags that body, she’s going to have a chance, if she doesn’t, it’s going to be a long night."
