Kell Brook on Amir Khan: I've trained for 12 tough roundsDAZN
The two veterans meet this weekend.

Kell Brook hopes to deliver a knockout finish when he takes on Amir Khan on Saturday in Manchester.

The two 35-year-old former world champions are meeting at a 149lb catchweight in what could be one of the last - if not the last - fight of their careers.

While both fighters are not at their peak, both have been in training to settle their grudge match with renewed vigour. Brook has been in Fuerteventura, while Khan has decamped to the US to train in Nebraska and Colorado with Brian ‘Bomac’ McIntyre.

Brook recalled Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez’s emphatic knockout of his scheduled opponent in a previous fight, something that the Briton wants to recreate.

“I want a sensational knockout,” Brook said to BoxingScene.com.

“I would love a Canelo knockout, you know, what Canelo gave him. You know, you don’t get paid for overtime in this game and I’m looking, obviously, to hurt him and to end the show.”

After an intensive training period, Brook feels ready.

“I’ve trained for the best Amir Khan,” he explained.

“And I’ve also trained so that I expect whatever comes. I’m gonna adapt if I need to adapt. I’ve gone over and over and over it in my mind how the fight will go.

"Sometimes, it doesn’t go how you think it’s gonna go, how you think it’s set up, how you think he’s gonna fight.

“But, you know, I’ve got every base covered. I’ve trained for a tough 12 rounds, so as long as I’m a hundred percent, I don’t care what he brings to the table because I’ve got an answer for that.”
