Kid Galahad is pulling no punches ahead of his maiden IBF featherweight title defence against Kiko Martinez on November 13 exclusively live on DAZN.
Speaking to Ade Oladipo and Tony Bellew on The DAZN Boxing Show, Galahad believes he needs to make a statement against the veteran Martinez.
"I'm not looking to go in there and take it easy because I know if he gets the opportunity he's going to try and get my head off clean," Galahad said.
"So I'm going to go in there and I'm gonna send him into retirement."
Galahad also admitted he's not used to being the centre of attention now he's a world champion, this fight is a homecoming for the IBF champion who is the sixth boxer from the city of Sheffield to win a world title.
"It's just mad because I've never really had this," Galahad said when discussing the opportunity to fight in his home city.
"I just can't wait, go in there, headline my own show and make sure I do a job on Kiko. I just can't wait, don't get me too excited, I've got to go to bed."
