The previous 12 months or so have been frustrating for Josh Warrington. First he suffered his first professional loss at the hands of Mauricio Lara last February, then when the pair met in a rematch seven months later, the contest was ruled a technical draw after the Mexican picked up a deep cut.
Now Warrington has the chance to get back to winning ways and become a two-time world champion when he faces Kiko Martinez for the IBF world featherweight title in Leeds.
These two have fought once before in 2017 and on that occasion it was Warrington who triumphed via a split decision, but now he faces a re-vitalised Martinez following his knockout win against Kid Galahad to claim the IBF belt last November.
