Viddal Riley became the English cruiserweight champion after securing a unanimous decision win over Nathan Quarless on Saturday night.
The 26-year-old enjoyed an easy night at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London, and moves to 10-0 as he looks to secure his own legacy as a fighter.
Riley is best known to some as KSI’s former trainer, with the crossover fighter set to face Tommy Fury live on DAZN later this month.
Riley won 100-90, 100-90, 100-90, as he looks to start targeting the best talent in the division.
"I'm finally legitimate, I want to thank my whole team, we're on our way, I'm very happy," said Riley after the fight.
"Nathan has been boxing a long time, he knows the slippery moves and how to survive, that's why it's important we train for the distance. We have the ability to finish people but if it goes the distance we're there, and we can win every round and in different ways too.”
Riley looked ahead to a British title fight, and may look to secure a Lonsdale fight with three wins.
"The cruiserweight division is very exciting. Naturally the next progression is to British title, maybe have one defence of this. I'd like to win the Lonsdale belt, it's prestigious and I'd like to be part of that."
