Lawrence Okolie targets British heavyweight and it's not Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua

Lawrence Okolie is back in May.

Lawrence Okolie’s immediate focus is a showdown with WBC bridgerweight champion Lukasz Rozanski in May as he looks to become a two-weight world champion, but he hasn’t ruled out competing at heavyweight.

Okolie’s run as WBO cruiserweight champion came to an end last year when he was defeated by Chris Billam-Smith, and now he’s looking to put that setback behind him.

Early into his run at cruiserweight, Okolie made it clear that a spell at heavyweight would eventually take place.

The London fighter, a 2016 Olympian, still holds onto those hopes and he’s targeting a fight with a former world title challenger.

"Dillian Whyte's now back. Obviously, everyone knows from back when I was Commonwealth and British champion I wanted that fight,” said Okolie when speaking to Sky Sports

“Outside of that we'll see what the landscape looks like. I've been looking at the heavyweights and seeing how much fun they've been having up there. I want to have a go as well."
