Leading heavyweight contender gives Daniel Dubois 'massive chance' against Oleksandr UsykDAZN

Daniel Dubois has a ‘massive chance’ of defeating Oleksandr Usyk when he receives his unified world title shot later this summer.

That is the verdict of Dillian Whyte, who faces Anthony Joshua on August 12, two weeks before Dubois gets his opportunity against Usyk in Poland.

The next few weeks of Whyte’s life are set to be occupied preparing for his second professional meeting with Joshua as he looks to gain revenge following their 2015 meeting.

If successful, his attention will immediately switch to the heavyweight title fight later that month and a win for Dubois, although a shock result for many, would not surprise Whyte.

“Yeah, he has a massive chance,” said Whyte when speaking to IFLTV regarding the heavyweight clash.

“He’s got punch power, he’s heavy-handed and he’s aggressive. Usyk is a good fighter, but you have to always give a puncher a chance, man, and if he catches him, you never know.

“Usyk does well when he gets hit with big shots though, his composure is very good, but [Dubois] is young. I give him a good chance.”
