Leigh Wood's 'unbelievable performance' was the Fight Camp highlight, claims Tony BellewMark Robinson/Matchroom Boxing
Leigh Wood and Kid Galahad were praised for their wins on the DAZN Boxing Show.

Ade Oladipo and Tony Bellew discussed who had the best result from this summer’s Fight Camp on the DAZN Boxing Show.

Oladipo suggested that Leigh Wood could be proud of coming away with a win over Xu Can to become a world champion.

“I want to go back to the very first,” he began.

“Obviously no Conor Benn, so Leigh Wood stepped up against Xu Can and Leigh Wood is left a world champion. Surely he's one of the biggest winners from this whole Fight Camp.

Bellew agreed, but name checked Kid Galahad, who beat Jazza Dickens for the IBF featherweight title.

“It's hard to separate between Leigh Wood and the Kid Galahad to be totally honest, both fulfil childhood dreams,” he said.

“One was an underdog, one was one was the favourite going into the fight. So when it comes to the expectation levels, I think Leigh Wood will feel the more accomplished of the two because it was just so unexpected.

“Kid Galahad you know was the favourite and Wood put in an unbelievable performance there.

“Leigh Wood was very, very good and found a way to just take Xu Can apart and do a brilliant job.

“The things that he done in the fight, I was amazed that so complete and also shocked by what I was watching because Xu Can just weren't getting enough shots off, but you've got to give so much credit.”
