'He has to conquer his own self first!' - Lennox Lewis offers insight into Tyson Fury ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch

'He has to conquer his own self first!' - Lennox Lewis offers insight into Tyson Fury ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematchDAZN
The former undisputed heavyweight champion has laid out how the Briton can approach his upcoming second bout with the Ukrainian.

Tyson Fury must "conquer his own self first" before he can consider defeating Oleksandr Usyk, believes Lennox Lewis, ahead of the pair's rematch live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

Seven months on from their first encounter at the Kingdom Arena, the two men return to Saudi Arabia atop the Riyadh Season Reignited fight card on December 21.

Usyk handed a first career loss to Fury in their original encounter, securing a result by split decision, with the Briton adamant that he won the fight since then.

But Lewis, the last man to reign as undisputed heavyweight champion before Usyk's victory in May, feels Fury must defeat his own flaws to claim revenge this time around.

"I think Fury learnt what he needs to do next time because he didn't do enough," he told BBC 5 Live Boxing with Steve Bunce.

"He needs to do a lot more. I like him a bit heavier for his fights and not moving around as much.

"He has to conquer his own self first. He's been through these things before so I think he can do it because he knows what to do.

"He's been at lows before and at highs before. He's down here right now, he knows how to get back up here. He just needs to put in the work."

Lewis became undisputed champion in 1999 after he defeated Evander Holyfield, and retired from boxing in 2004 following victories over Mike Tyson and Vitali Klitschko.
