Former world champion Kell Brook has dismissed claims from Chris Eubank Jr. that he lost to Liam Smith because of a stray elbow.
The pair are due to have their rematch on September 2 after several delays, and in their first match, Eubank was dismissed after just four rounds, with Smith unstoppable.
Brook has suggested that he could be tempted back into the ring from retirement to face the winner of the bout, having last sent Amir Khan into retirement when the pair settled their grudge match last year.
However, Eubank claimed that his opponent had used an elbow in his winning barrage, with some observers sceptical that it changed the direction of the fight at that time.
Speaking to Betting Sites, Brook said: “I see the same outcome.
”He [Eubank Jr.] will get dealt with again. What he was saying about an illegal elbow is a load of rubbish.”
