Luis Alberto Lopez’s manager named the next fight he wants to line up for the fighter after his win over Reiya Abe on Saturday.
Lopez retained his IBF featherweight title in the process and it had been suggested he would be keen on a unification fight with Raymond Ford, who beat Otabek Kholmatov on the same card as the headliner.
He had also been mentioned as a potential opponent for another unifying clash, against WBO champion Rafael Espinoza, but he seems set to run it back with Robeisy Ramirez.
Speaking to BoxingScene.com , Lopez’s manager Hector Fernadnez de Cordova saw another option - the winner of Oscar Valdez and Liam Wilson, who fight on March 29 (live on ESPN+ in the US).
“We want the winner of Valdez and Wilson,” he said.
“We would move up for that fight and really want the fight with Valdez.
“We would move back down to 126 after that fight.
“Our goal is still to unify titles at featherweight.”
