One fighter has provided a big update.

Anthony Yarde is currently plotting his next move, but the light-heavyweight contender has admitted to being a promotional free agent.

Yarde, currently linked to a domestic fight with Joshua Buatsi, is eager to place himself at the business end of the division as he looks to secure another world title shot.

In 2019, Yarde aimed to defeat Sergey Kovalev, but despite having one big moment in the fight, he was eventually stopped.

Four years later, Yarde received a second crack at glory but his efforts to beat Artur Beterbiev failed and he was once again defeated by stoppage.

Yarde recently took to social media to update people on his current position when speaking on the X account of his trainer, Tunde Ajayi.

“So right now, my previous promotional contract has expired,” said Yarde when talking on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“My team are doing the best job for me back end, whilst that is sorted, me and you can start negotiations for the fight, to put on the fight for ourselves, and the fans. It’s exciting times.”
