Filip Hrgovic has stated that retirement is very much an option if he fails to beat Daniel Dubois on June 1.
The heavyweight pair will clash as part of the epic Frank Warren vs. Eddie Hearm show this summer and the winner will be in an ideal position to challenge one of the division's biggest names moving forward.
Dubois, a former world champion, is eager to taste such glory again but in Hrgovic, he faces an unbeaten fighter who also has big aspirations.
The unbeaten Croatian has hardly put a foot wrong in his pro careers so far but his fight against Dubois could be his last if things don't go his way.
“I think I am the best. I am working hard, and I have been in this sport for 18 years, working like a f-----g maniac,” said Hrgovic when speaking to IFLTV.
“If I lose to Dubois, then f--k that s*** man. I would not be as good as I think, so I would retire.”
