Naoya Inoue’s next move is still unknown but one former fighter has advised the Japanese superstar to move up to featherweight.
Inoue’s run at super-bantamweight has been impressive so far and he maintained that momentum last month when stopped Luis Nery.
Up at featherweight, Inoue would be welcomed by the likes of Rey Vargas and Nick Ball, and it would be a chance to win a world title in a fifth weight division.
Tim Bradley, an entertaining world champion in his prime, believes that Inoue should jump weight classes again.
“There’s nobody there at 122 that is even on his level. So, go up to 126 lbs and face those guys there,” said Bradley when speaking to Fight Hub TV.
“Challenge yourself there. If he does that and is successful, that’s GOAT time stuff that we’re talking about, especially if he can win all the belts at 126 lbs. That’s something different.”
