Eddie Hearn believes that Tyson Fury was ‘very lucky’ not to get stopped by Oleksandr Usyk during their undisputed heavyweight title clash.

Fury was rocked by a huge left hand in the ninth session and after staggering for a few seconds, he was given a standing count by Mark Nelson.

With the bell sounding to end the round, Fury survived, but the direction of the fight changed in Usyk’s favour.

The Ukrainian finished strong to win a split decision, but Hearn thinks that the contest could've been brought to an end when Fury looked out on his feet.

"I thought he was very lucky that the referee didn't jump in,” said Hearn when speaking to DAZN in the fight’s post-fight interview.

"He showed unbelievable heart to stay on his feet and unbelievable composure coming out for the tenth and eleventh rounds. He was losing those rounds, but he was recovering."
