Anthony Joshua is eyeing a return to the ring this summer as he looks to bounce back from his shocking loss to Daniel Dubois last year .
That’s the opinion of Frank Smith, a major figure at Matchroom Boxing who has played a big part in the career of Joshua.

Last September, Joshua was hoping to become a three-time heavyweight champion, but that dream was ruined as he was stopped by Dubois.
Before the contest, it appeared that Joshua had rediscovered the menacing form that took him to the sport’s biggest prize, but Dubois had other ideas.
Joshua was dropped four times before being halted in the fifth session and there were soon question marks over whether he should continue fighting.

One potential option for Joshua was a long-awaited showdown with Tyson Fury, but that fight now seems unlikely following Fury’s surprise retirement announcement .
Smith, who remains very close to Joshua, has had his say on what could come next for the Watford man.
“There’s a lot of movement in the heavyweight division,” said Smith when speaking to BetFred .
“You’ve got Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker on February 22nd , we’ve got to wait and see what Oleksandr Usyk does next, but I think you’ll see Anthony Joshua back out in the summer.”
