Manny Pacquiao cannot be doubted ahead of Errol Spence Jr clash, says Sergio MoraDAZN
The senator is ready to get back in the ring this August.

Former world champion Sergio Mora believes he can no longer have any doubt in Manny Pacquiao ahead of his fight with Errol Spence Jr.

The Filipino senator is back from semi-retirement to take on Spence on August 21, and speaking on DAZN’s Boxing Show, Mora said that the 42-year-old ‘champion in recess’ has proved himself so many times he had earned the benefit of the doubt.

“It’s the right move because I’ve counted him out so many times and I’m tired of counting him out,” he told Chris Mannix.

“I counted him out with [Oscar] De La Hoya, with [Miguel] Cotto, with Keith Thurman. These are bigger men and he was able to beat them

“I fought on the same undercard as Manny Pacquiao, I can attest how small he is, and he’s fighting guys at 154lbs. We’re dealing with a legend.”

Despite Mora’s belief in Pacquiao he was not dismissing Spence’s talents.

“Errol Spence is the truth, he’s dangerous, he’s a pound for pound top guy. He’s a beast,” he said.

“Pacquiao has continued to defy the odds and be great for 20 plus years in eight divisions. You can’t count him out. Any time a legend wants to do something great, you pay attention.

“At this age, at this point of his career, of course there’s fear and concern but we’re dealing with a titan of boxing who can do things you and I can’t comprehend.”
