Martin Bakole has claimed that he stopped unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and WBA 'regular' champion Daniel Dubois during their respective training camps.
Bakole has not fought since his win over Tony Yoka last May and when speaking to Sky Sports, the 29-year-old expressed his desire to face Dubois for his next fight after going head-to-head with the hard-hitting British star in sparring.
“Daniel Dubois is the fight I want. I’ve sparred him twice and I stopped him twice in sparring. He knows that. If we fight, I think I stop him in the first or second round," Bakole said.
“I’m calling him out and I want him to be ready for me. I want that fight, I can’t wait. People are hiding because they don’t want to fight me because I made the mistake from sparring them in the gym.”
Dubois is not the only 'big' name heavyweight Bakole has already had experience facing. He also revealed that he has spent time with Usyk as he prepared for his rematch against Anthony Joshua last summer where he claims to have enjoyed plenty of success.
“Even Usyk, I stopped him in sparring in Dubai, he knows that,” Bakole added.
