Boxing legend Mike Tyson has sent a defiant message to those who are criticising his return to the ring later this year.
Set to be one of the biggest fights of 2024, Tyson will be facing Jake Paul on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, but it is a contest which has been met with concerns.
With Tyson being 58-years-old come the first bell, some fans are concerned for the American's health as he goes head-to-head with Paul who has showcased his punch power in recent outings. This has even led to a number of respected names within boxing calling for the fight to be cancelled.
However, Tyson has declared that he will go ahead with the fight and claims that those criticising this particular contest are jealous of the fact that he can still draw a huge audience.
"I'm 58 and what? I'm getting billions of views from just talking to somebody about fighting," Tyson told Reuters.
"Everybody, even most of the athletes, they're jealous, that's whack... I say in your prime you couldn't draw a million people, man. What are you talking about, you couldn't sell out an arena. Who at 58 could sell out an 80,000-seat arena?
"Why do you think he wants to fight me and not anybody else?"
