'Like any other Saturday!' - Moses Itauma reveals preference for fights abroad over home clashesMark Robinson / Matchroom Boxing
A return to Saudi Arabia is on the cards for the rising British star after two previous bouts in the country before now.

Moses Itauma admits he prefers to fight abroad rather than in his native United Kingdom, ahead of his bout with Demsey McKean this December, live on DAZN.

The British-Slovakian fighter will head to Saudi Arabia for the third time as part of Riyadh Season's Reignited undercard, beneath Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury's rematch.

Itauma has previously fought twice at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena, on the undercard of Fury's bout with Francis Ngannou last year, and then the first Usyk bout in May.

Speaking ahead of his return to the Middle East, the 19-year-old acknowledged that he likes taking his fights out of the country as it feels like more of an event to him.

"I prefer fighting abroad," Itauma said. "If I’m at home, I wake up and it’s like any other Saturday, in my bedroom, and I’m like 'I’m about to fight in front of [this amount of people].'

"In Saudi Arabia, or when [a fight is] abroad, you actually feel that you are part of an event. Whereas when you’re at home, you just feel like you’re going to go do a job.

"[It is] like people go to do bricklaying or people come to do reporting. I just feel like I’m just going to go there and have a fight [when I'm in the United Kingdom]."

Outside of his two fights in Saudi Arabia, Itauma has fought all of his bouts in his home country so far, with clashes in London and Telford so far.

With an 10-0 professional record to date, with eight knockouts, further success will likely pave the way for additional bouts beyond Europe, with North America a likely possibility.
